Favorite Procreate Brushes

Over the years, I’ve collected a lot of Procreate brushes but only a few have truly earned a permanent spot in my creative toolkit. Whether I’m working on playful illustrations or creating vibey textured shapes, these brushes help bring the work to life in a way that feels expressive & vibrant.

In this post, I’m sharing my go-to brushes (the ones I reach for constantly!) plus a few hidden gems that deserve way more love. Some are free, some are a tiny investment, but all of them are absolute staples in my illustration process.

This brush is part of the Rusty Nib Inkers kit by True Grit Texture Supply. It flows sooo nicely & has a lovely texture. It is part of the bundle but honestly the whole bundle is worth it – anything True Grit Texture Supply creates is golden and that definitely includes these brushes.

Soo I got this brush for free as a monthly drop from Creative Market so I don’t know exactly which one it is but I LOVE IT! I think it comes from the Gritcore Brushes kit. You can see it here and grab freebies here.

6B Pencil from Procreate

This one is included in Procreate, find it in the “Sketching” section!

Fine Engraver Double & Smooth Natural Nib

Both of these brushes are also from True Grit Texture Supply – they are both from the “Rusty Nib” Collection. Smooth Natural Nib is probably one of my most used brushes, it’s so versatile, I love the texture & width. The Fine Engraver double is a very specific design but so fun to draw with & to create textured patterns, etc.

Another faaaavorite brush from the Jelly Gouache kit!!! Layers so nicely when you’re coloring in but also perfect for sketching when you want some smoother lines.

Gloaming Brush from Procreate

This one is also included in Procreate, find it in the “Drawing” section!

Hear me out, I don’t think you can ever have enough pencil brushes. I love this one & most of the other ones in this pencil box kit.

There’s something soo satisfying working with monoline brushes – especially if they’re a bit funky. This one has square edges and I love it, this whole monoline kit is so good, HIGHLY recommend.

Gesinski Ink & Copperhead

Two more amazing Procreate brushes – find Gesinski in “Inking” & Copperhead in the “Drawing” section!

I hope this little round-up gives you some new tools (and maybe a few ✨ideas✨) for your own creative experiments. Whether you’re sketching for fun, building a brand, or somewhere in between — the right brush can make all the difference. If you have a favorite brush I didn’t mention, send it my way — I’m always on the lookout for new inspiration.
